A test is the best way to show which coating is suitable for your product. That is why we test and evaluate different surface technologies for your application. In our own laboratories, we produce functional samples for you, for which we have access to a wide range of coating technologies, so that we can select the ideal technology for your product. Our portfolio ranges from PVD, CVD vacuum coating processes to all conceivable types of electroplating, dipping and painting processes to the various applications of thermal spraying.

At Bosch, we're not just coating experts, we're manufacturing specialists. Because of our broad expert knowledge, we manage to efficiently integrate new coating processes into the production chain. We work with proven product development methods such as requirements analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), statistical design of experiments (DOE), design to cost, design thinking and much more. Our goal is to work with you to develop Cmk/Cpk-capable processes as part of an SE project (simultaneous engineering). Of course, we are also your partner when it comes to improving existing processes. Our aim is to adapt your proven manufacturing process to new requirements. We focus on efficient and smooth integration into production.

As a system supplier, we offer you state-of-the-art contract coating including continuous improvement of systems and processes. Wherever high-performance layers are required, PVD and CVD processes are generally used. With the help of chemical or physical vapor deposition, not only extremely thin layers but also extremely hard diamond-like carbon layers with very low coefficients of friction can be produced using this vacuum-based process. The production of heavy-duty ceramic wear protection layers, which are specially designed for impact wear, is also possible with this method without any problems.

Galvanic deposition can be used for a variety of applications and includes both the coating of complete component surfaces including internal geometries and the partial coating of defined areas. Galvanic coating is an optimal solution, especially for applications with combined functions such as wear or corrosion protection. Depending on the requirements, cost-effective coatings can also be implemented in variable quantities.

Conversion layers are non-metallic, inorganic layers on metallic surfaces that are created by a chemical process and form a particularly good adhesion base for subsequent coatings. They also serve as corrosion protection and running-in layers for tribologically stressed components.

Anodized surfaces are special and technically particularly important conversion layers, as they serve to build up or reinforce an already existing oxide layer on light metals such as aluminum or titanium. Wear resistance, corrosion protection as well as thermal and electrical insulation are significantly improved.

As an expert in surface technology, we can select suitable wet-chemical pre-treatments and polishing steps with you. Whether roughening, smoothing, cleaning, deburring or electropolishing, we develop the process and the associated system technology to optimize your product and your processes.
