An extremely hard diamond-like carbon layer with very low coefficients of friction. It is perfectly optimized for use in tribological systems where components move against each other and friction and wear must be kept low.

The coating is also chemically resistant and biocompatible, thus offering a very broad field of application.

Ceramic layers

Ceramic layers

A heavy-duty ceramic wear protection layer specially designed for impact wear, e.g. caused by particles in the fuel.

The coating also has very good thermal and cavitation resistance and can be applied to a wide variety of materials and designs using an optimised PVD process.

Thermal spray coatings

A variable coating technology for the deposition of ceramics, carbide materials and metals/metal alloys. Layer thicknesses between 10μm and several mm can be realized, with high density and good bonding to the base material.

A selective coating of small components is also possible. The thermal load of the components to be coated is usually in non-critical ranges (< 150°C).

Silane, sol-gel processes

A simple, cost-effective way to functionalize surfaces. The coating can be applied either by spraying or by flooding or dipping for geometrically more demanding designs.

By surface modification or functionalization of the side chains of the Sol-Gel molecule with special compounds (e.g. alkoxy-, fluoride-containing groups), functional properties can be adjusted e.g. in the field of wear protection, corrosion protection or wetting behavior.

Varnish coatings

Versatile coating options for optically attractive, functional layers on a wide variety of substrates, such as metal, plastic, organic materials.

Due to the different varnishing processes, layer thicknesses between 5µm and 200µm can be applied. The aim of paint coatings is to improve corrosion protection, increase electrical insulation and create optically appealing surfaces in a wide range of colours.

In addition, the coefficient of friction of the painted surface can be significantly reduced by storing the smallest particles in paint layers.

Galvanic coatings

Electroplated coatings can be used for a variety of applications. With this process it is possible to coat the complete component surface including internal geometries as well as the partial coating of defined areas.

In particular for applications with multiple functions, such as wear and corrosion protection, galvanic coatings offer an optimal solution.

Depending on requirements, cost-effective coatings can be realized in variable numbers of pieces.

Conversion layers:

Non-metallic, inorganic coatings on metallic surfaces. These layers are produced by a chemical process and form a very good adhesive base for subsequent organic coatings. Conversion layers are also used as corrosion protection and as running-in layers for tribologically stressed components.

Anodized surfaces:

Construction or reinforcement of an already existing oxide layer in light metals such as aluminium or titanium by means of direct current.

The oxide layers improve wear resistance, corrosion protection and the thermal and electrical insulation effect of anodised components.
