In joining processes, two or more individual parts made of metal or plastic are connected to one another using a wide variety of mechanisms. Using a wide range of ablation technologies from grinding via (electro-)chemical processes up to machining with Laser beams, we produce "Microns in Millions" - highest precision with best-in-class productivity.  Bores with smallest diameters, surface qualities for highest mechanical loads and shapes which can't be generated by conventional processes are among our special competences. At the same time we avoid unproductive sequences and handling steps by using our patented simultaneous machining technologies and integrated cleaning, conservation and drying processes.

Machine Vision

Our Machine Vision experts develop, build, and support machines and systems for optical inspection and process control in close cooperation with our nine locations worldwide. Our scalable, adaptive solutions have a high degree of standardization. They can therefore be used in the laboratory, in small series and single part production as well as in production lines with short cycle times.

This allows us to get the most use out of each application with the minimum investment needed. A close and trusting partnership with our customers is a matter of course for us.

With Machine Vision solutions from Bosch, we offer you optical intelligence for manufacturing. Our spectrum ranges from intelligent image processing methods and individual system offerings to entire machinery for optical inspection and process control.  Our scalable, adaptive solutions feature a high degree of standardization and can be used in the laboratory, in small batch and single part production as well as in production lines even with short cycle times. In this way, we achieve the maximum benefit for each application with a minimum of necessary investment.  A close and trusting partnership with our customers is the basic prerequisite for this. Autofrettage makes it possible to increase the maximum operational strength of pressure-loaded components without design or material modifications. As a specialist in high-pressure technology, we design series machines and have test facilities for process development and validation. The equipment can also be used for sample or small series processing according to customer specifications. A process transfer from development to series production is therefore possible quickly and cost-efficiently.

The material properties essentially determine the wear behavior of components. The knowledge of the influence of hardness, strength, surface structure, and stress condition of the components is therefore fundamental in production.

With our many years of experience in manufacturing highly stressed components for internal combustion engines, Bosch Manufacturing Solutions has a broad portfolio of processes to influence material properties.

For example, special, tailor-made manufacturing processes can be used to introduce residual compressive stresses into component surfaces or to change the surface hardness locally.

We develop turnkey series machines for this purpose and have test facilities for process development, validation and sample production.
